Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Heading to Val Thorens UCPA to do the off piste course next week. Frankly bit doubtful that there will be any off piste but still hopeful! Wondering if any other snow heads are going to be in town the say week or indeed staying at UCPA. I am a chap, decent enough skier, looking to off piste, late 30s going solo this time.

Ah two fellow wannabe of piste buddies...I was watching some footage a couple of days and the on piste looked okay but there was clearly nothing but tracked out rubbish off the side and VT was pretty much the only place in the 3V to be 80% open. Still better than a couple of my mates who are off tomorrow to Austria and barren slopes! I imagine we will all be casting a watchful eye over the snow forecast for next week!
Anyone else signed up for the 'off piste'?

I think you will struggle to find any reasonable off piste in VT (or anywhere else at the moment). Where it has been possible the offpiste looks as tracked out and flattened as the main pistes and everywhere else just looks impossible due to the coverage.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
