Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The "restaurant" on the left hand side is that when travelling from La Daille towards the Tourist Office?

If yes then you may be referring to the Taverne D'Alsace which is under the Kandahar Hotel and Billabong Shop. The restaurant Tel +33 4 79 06 48 49. It is the rustic restaurant with a photo of Tiger Woods with Jean Claude Killy at the bottom of the stairs.

The Perdrix Blanche has been replaced by a new Fondue Restaurant but I don't have the number nor have I been there. The Casserole is the "wooden chalet" restaurant near the bus station which offers fondues, pierre chaud (hot stone) and brasserade (charcoal grill on the table).

The Val d'isere website used to list all of the restaurants but I haven't checked the new website for restaurants.

The Corniche Restaurant Tel +33 4 79 06 18 75.

There is a Michelin-starred restaurant at Le Fornet - L'atelier d'Edmon. It might be worth investigating, although I have never eaten there.

Yea you are talking about the Taverne d'Alsace - agree food in there is right up your street.

Depends whether you want to be in the thick of the action afterwards or not.... or whether it is meal, drinks then bed without hitting the tiles afterwards. Other options I would suggest are Sur La Montagne - they usually do something special and have a good atmosphere in there.... you could also try the Toviere hotel in La Daille (yes I know my wife works there in the Summer but the food and service is good in there and they have done special evenings and meals on New Years eve in the past. In fact Clare tells me that it is a set menu for €92 that night - which includes a gala meal (8 courses) and all sorts - not sure if that is out of the league or not. I should think that most places will either be really expensive or have a set menu which is rather long... it may just be a case of calling around everywhere I am afraid!
