Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This may be a silly question, but is this Meribel Centre or Meribel Village?!

I want to pre-book skis, so I need to get the right shop.

TIA Very Happy

it's not a silly question at all - Meribel Village is a long way from the centre. But surely it's a question you ask the accommodation provider? It's a question I'd ask before I booked, actually.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My wife will know - but I can't contact her, and she has "requested" me to book the skis this evening. The booking agent has closed up shop for the night.

Oh - I know we get free transport to the lifts, so I'm guessing it could be the village - but would prefer to check with the cognoscente.

Looking on trip Advisor, it's Meribel 'Centre' but not close to any shops. It's actually in the streets above the Spar and what used to be Dick's 'T' Bar. The ski bus will take you to the Chaudanne so pick a ski shop close to there - Chaudanne Sport are ok. http://chaudanne-sport.com/en/

There are no Skimium shops at the Chaudanne, they're all further up the hill. If t40ora knows Meribel well enough to pick the right bus stop then fair enough but otherwise it's hassle.

t40ora - BTW, you can ski back to your chalet via some gentle off-piste by dropping off the right side of the Hulotte run if you're feeling adventurous wink

Thanks folks. I Googled but didn't think of Trip advisor. Doh.

Adventurous? Maybe after a couple of days!
