Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

What's the long range forecast like for the Alps

Off to Passo Tonale on 28th, so only 18 sleeps.

Snow cover is pretty good at the moment, but with none forecast in the next 7 days, I'm worried things could deteriorate.

No idea what forecast is like for after that though.

johnboy, It's all looking pretty stable, but anything beyond 4 or 5 days is always uncertain.

johnboy, no snow on the horizon at the moment. Sad

Temps around average so snow loss is more likely to be due to skier wear and tear than any thawing. Plenty cold enough for overnight snowmaking.
