Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Shocked They're really rather good, aren't they? wink But they still fall over. "Yee haa, vas-y" Laughing

That is as far from my cross country skiing as a F1 race is from my trips to Waitrose in Havant.

I thought it tied in nicely with the "straightlining Val d'Isere" thread.

I'm impressed you go to Waitrose in Havant on cross country skis though.

I liked these guys (and girls) with their cross country off piste skiing. The descent from the plateau back to Ornon looked pretty hairy, some impressive skiing in there.

@Masque,
No edges on a normal XC ski. Some of the backcountry models do though.

Looks good. My current boss at work has an appt in les Saisies and rates it highly, spends his weekends up there.

Naaaahhhh much better when the weather is sunny and they are wearing just shorts and vests.

I'm always amazed when I'm cycling up the likes of the Izoard and Galibier and I catch them up, how my speed then eases as I slot in behind them Cool

I think you have stones at Hayling - you could try this further along the coast, say Studland at the naturist beach.

@pam w, Mrs Jbob got herself some new classic skis at the end of the season, they had skin kickers, she only managed one outing but reported them to be fast!
