Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@Markymark29, try skiing in 99% of what most Europeans would consider to be a touring boot (or what we used to have to tour in 10/15 years ago then jump back into Mercurys and you will see what I mean...

@offpisteskiing, Explain more please, I wont be skiing in 10/15 year old touring boots so would welcome your feedback.

@spyderjon, A fellow SH skied with last 2 seasons said his Vulcans were a pita and had had a lot of trouble wink Thought you skied Mercurys anyway?

Nah real men rocked Mercury, Vulcans for those willing to chuck an extra 150 at the same thing, without any progressive flex. Real current men rock an MTN Lab!

Just seen Vulcans from last year for £375 at Bergzeit. Small sizes only Sad but I have small feet Madeye-Smiley.

Unfortuneately I have already given @spyderjon all of my remaining pocket money for this year so the old Dynafit ZZeus will have to soldier on.

In case anybody is still following this..
I bought the Tecnica cochise 130 and have been skiing on it last week.
I had to make a few adjustments to the shell as my feet are quite wide, the fit around my large calf is excellent. I am happy with the fit but will most likely have to push them out again this season.

The ski control with this boot is excellent, great progressive flex and does not seem to bottom out even when skiing aggressively on bumps. The boot is more similar to a performance boot than a Tech boot. Considerably better than my previous tech boot which had terrible ski control.
I have not yet gone up hill but walk mode works easily so looking forward to trying this.
