Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I've been to Cervinia and Courmayeur and did a day trip to La Thuile. I did Cervinia 20 years ago on skis, so the memory might not be so great. I did enjoy the place, although access to the lifts/pistes from town wasn't the best (this has probably changed). Conditions were great when I was there - it's good and high so quite reliable snow conditions.I think you'll really like it, much bigger mountain than Courmmayeur and la Thuile, or so it felt, really good from the very top loft (Platta Rosa?). No real negatives from what I recall.

I think both are good, cervinia is a great ski area and with that glacier over the top in zermatt also well worth going for with some really long runs down to the town and fast cable cars back up. I'm always sceptical when you get those old lingering descriptions of somewhere that seem to be played again and again, but the one about high wind in cervinia does seem to be more true than many and it can get quite clattery up there if it's going the wrong way.
Sentriere a bit more gentle but massive area that you'll never run out new runs to ski, also accessible from sauz d oulx which I think is a great place to stay as well.
Good food in both places though, that's true about Italy in general though.

I live in Aosta, when are you looking at going away? Pila or Cervinia are definitely my favourite in the Valley. I am in love with Italy, would choose the Italian resorts over the French everytime.

Depends what you are looking to do. If you are into off piste, and the conditions, are right, I'd go with Courmayeur. If piste is your thing, then Cervinia is probably best.

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
