Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The most obvious answer (assuming you're in the UK) is to go to a TK Maxx store and see if they have anything.

There's a Sweet Protection sale on SportPursuit at the minute - I really rate my jacket from them, it's easily withstood two full seasons so far with barely a mark. Wouldn't dream of changing it.

Other brands come up there fairly often (I've seen RAB and Bergaus), but not sure about North Face.

What's your budget? I have a North Face jacket bought for last year's trip and it wasn't too expensive (I bought it in the sale but even full price I don't think it was outrageously expensive).

Noticed Westbeach have got gear on Sport Pursuit - I've been a fan of their stuff for years, as has the wife. Good wearing, really good waterproofing and great value. I use a TNF jacket at the moment, but only because I got it 2nd hand from here. Otherwise, I'd be in Westbeach kit, when replacement time comes around, that's where i'll be looking first.
