Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Conditions excellent, if you're about to go out I'm very jealous.

Tons of snow, we checked out the depth markers on the mountain and there's still over 100cm almost to the villages. A serious base for this time of year, which will take a lot of melting/wearing if you're going out later in the season. Pistes in beautiful nick, and still plenty of untracked powder not far off. Just starting to get a few firmer spots on pistes without snowmaking after no fresh for 5 days. But only a few, still almost perfect carving conditions.

Skiied St. Johann in Tirol (quite busy, great snow), Ellmau/Scheffau (again great snow though a little longer lines on the round-ski-routes than would have been ideal) and Fieberbrunn (LOVE this resort, not big but just some superb runs and piste-side fun, with little queuing - we rolled up at 10.30 on a bank holiday and parked 2 minutes from the base station)

And now I'm back at work Sad . Well i'll just post a snow report and then do some work....

Yeah....nice weather everywhere, unfortunately for us. I was planning to go to St Anton or Les Arcs on 15th Jan but not so sure now, perhaps better to wait one more week as I like to get there just AFTER a big dump. They still need some more snow.....
