Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Name of Dolomites Camping ground

Hi Collective sHs Brain,

There is a camping ground visible from a lift (carries passengers both up and down the slope) which serves one the areas over the backside of Canazei in the Dolomites. I can't identify the exact area or the name of the camping ground and am hoping some sHs might be a little more observant of their surroundings than me when skiing in the area.

Does anyone know the camping ground name and, even better, if anyone has ever stayed there, some info would be much appreciated - costs, pros, cons, etc etc

Thinking about spending a month in the area in March 2017 and looking for cheap accommodation.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if you're referring to http://www.campingcolfosco.org/index.php?page_id=1050&lang_id=3 near Corvara which is right next to the horizontal chair lift - stayed there several times
Not quite by Canazei though... snowHead

Camping Vidor http://www.campingvidor.it/en/ is right by the piste leading down into Pozza di Fassa, and visible from the gondola back up from Pozza - is this what you were thinking of? Have only stayed there in summer several years ago, but was excellent site with absolutely superb facilities.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Seconding Camping Vidor, stayed there a few times now, quite expensive depending on which pitch size etc you choose but well worth it. Its a really great site with excellent facilities.

The horizontal chair has gone now. There's a bubble replacing it that goes slightly higher into Colfosco.
