Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Rusutsu/Niseko and Asahidake/Furano Accommodation

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We have a trip planned to Japan for the end of Jan/start of Feb. The first week we were thinking of either Rusutsu or Niseko and then moving on to either Asahidake or Furano for the second week. So far we've all just booked flights and now we actually need to work out where we're staying. Thought it was worth checking on here to see if anyone had any recommendations or just some advice on where to be looking. From an initial skim, a lot of the accommodation appears to be hotels which we're not really after. We don't want anything fancy, we're there to ski so as long as it's functional, we're not too fussed and would rather keep costs down (although that's all relative really). Anyone got any pearls of wisdom? Thanks

There was a post tom MikePow a while back I think that had a deal for a hostel type thing in Niseko that was room and a lift pass for about £400 for a week I think (it was a year ago I looked) try looking at snowjapan.com.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Have stayed in the old Furano Prince Hotel. It was cheap and cheerful and we got a good rooms, breakfast, lift pass deal.

For Niseko worth considering Moiwa Lodge if you want a cheaper option away from the riff raff with your own cracking little area but still easy access to Annupuri.
