Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,
Up until this last week I had it all worked out (or so I thought!) but at the last minute, my work (if you can call it that - it was a couple of hours a day in exchange for food/accommodation) hasn't worked out as Black Diamond Tours have had a change of management, and the current Boss isn't the one I had the work agreed with.
As a result, I'm in a bit of a tough situation as most positions for work out in Niseko seem to be filled and I've not come across anything else with a similar offer to the above. Earning money while I'm out there isn't important. It was also going to be a good way to get to know some of the English speaking seasonaires and the theory behind it was that working in exchange for food and board would be a good cheap way of doing an exotic season.
I'm still extremely keen to get out there for the season but I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do! The emphasis is very much on skiing, and not on working.
Does anyone have any hints/tips to either find cheap season accommodation in Niseko? I'm in the midst of finding and contacting other English speaking operators but there aren't loads!
Thanks!
Chris

If it's about skiing, then get cheap accommodation in Otaru, buy the 3 Pass (Kiroro, Asari, Kokusai) and do day trips to Tenguyama, Teine, Niseko, Rusutsu.
It's not Niseko but you'll have a better ski experience.
For way cheaper.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Mike,
Thanks, I really appreciate the tip!
Any tips on accommodation with an English speaking contingent?
Day trips to those resorts - I assume there are buses? Are they free or do they charge? I'm desperate to get back to Rusutsu, I had the best day of my life there in 2013!
