I'll be in Tignes Val Claret new year week with Matwall. What sort of skiing are you looking to do?

Hi Snowheads.
I am going out on 9th jan. Can anyone help me to decide on whether to book a transfer with the chalet company which surly would take me to the door or to try bens bus. The cost is significantly different. I would save £34 pound that I could otherwise spend towards a lesson.
Ill be staying at the Lavachet Lodge. I can see where that is on the sketch map on their website but bens bus stop at Le lac is shown on a google map and I cant find the exact address for The Lodge. Google map shows me the Chalet company site when I type in the Lodge name, so I cant work out whether I could walk to the Lodge from there. Ill be dragging my skis in a roller bag and probably one other case too. I'm definitely asking them to pre buy me lift pass because they offer 10% off so I probably cant use the shuttle bus up to the Lodge until I have that pass.
Love to meet up with fellow snowheads there. I'm skiing solo this year and last came to Tignes about 25 years ago.
Thanks. All advice welcomed.

We always use bens bus now and then walk up to le Bec rouge. Bit of a hike at 1 in the morning but it's only a small hassle. The chalets transfer will drop you at the door. Depends if you fancy lugging bags. The resort busses run all night although limited after 12ish IIRC. Never been asked for a lift pass on them though so shouldn't be a problem. Would be worth checking the route to see if it passes your accommodation. Myself and the wife are out from the 9th and always welcome to have others ski with us

Bens Bus will drop you at the Gare Routiere behind the Maison de Tignes in Le Lac. From there you walk up 15 steps to the snow front opposite Escale Blanche, a navette will arrive within 5 minutes and take you to within 50 yards of the Lav Lodge in 2 minutes (get off at the Lavachet stop - just before Le Brasero). Don't get on the navette in the the bus station as its going the other way to Val Claret!
Lav Lodge is on the first floor of the building that includes Brasero, and the Sherpa supermarket - I think the entrance is round the back.
