Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi all
I've been off the forum for a bit having to make an honest living back in the UK for the last couple of years. I'm back out this winter though working for our old Danish company (wife is Danish). Can anyone give me the latest on where we are up to with "unqualified" guiding in France?
Many thanks and good to be back ))))

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

In a nutshell it is deemed ilegal and they are clamping down, forcing the likes of scgb and other companies to withdraw their guiding service.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@gravystuffing, If you are receiving "remuneration" then its illegal (unless you have appropriate qualification and matching paperwork of course)

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@gravystuffing, Whatever you do, don't mention the name of the Danish company on here - you never know, some French official might see it!

Looks like we'll just be going back and forth to the airport, making a picnic and skiing on our own all week then

You just need to find someone willing to ski with you for nothing...

@gravystuffing, If it's not in your contract, you aren't being paid for it, it's not advertised as a "service" and you aren't wearing a uniform, I think you'd get away with skiing with those guests that you want to ski with.
