Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anyone used Alpine Resorts for ski hire? (Morillon)

Hi there,

I am just looking at booking our ski hire for our trip to Morillon at new year. This website seem to be the cheapest at £186 (two adult skis and helmets, two kids skis, boots and helmets) but i have never heard of them before. I just wanted to check if they are ok and if anyone else has used them? They seem to use Sport 2000.

Or can anyone recommend any other ski hire sites or shops in Morillon?

thank you!

@breeze11, its Alpinresorts.com they are an agent and I have used them five times in France, Italy and Austria. They are almost unbeatable on price but you need to make sure you get what you've paid for when you are at the shop itself.

I used them for my last two trips to Morillon last season. The shop I selected was the Pascal 2000 Sports in Morillon village rather than 1100 Les Esserts. The main guy there is spot on. He didn't have the specific ski I wanted to try so he disappeared and came back 20 minutes later with it having got it from storage.

I'd recommend them.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thats fab! Thank you. I think i might book with them then. I will have a look at the shop you have recommended too.

To be honest I have no clue about skis these days so they could probably get away with giving me anything. I will make sure i have a good read up and check it all before i walk away.

Thanks again! x

Having usually used my own skis, the last few times I've been on shortish trips I've hired to dodge the carriage charge and avoid lugging a box around, and I think it's fair to say I've never got what I've paid for. Glad it's not just me.
