Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Satobus/altibus alps resort transfers

Hi all

Looking to arrange a transfer for about 18 - 20 people from Lyon airport (eek!) to Alpe d'huez. I see Satobus-altibus does transfers. Has anyone used it before? Is it reliable? Does it leave you in the centre of the resort or elsewhere?

The return price is about 45 euro but i have an offer of 75 return pp from the chalet operator for 75 door to door. Anyone think the convenience of the latter is worth the extra cost?

hmm I have their full price list and it says private coach between 20 would be 28E each way? Door to door and pretty cheap, nearly went for it myself but due to dropouts ended up at just 14 people for my trip so went with standard taxis. n.vicat@interhone.fr is the address on the site for more details http://www.satobus.com/ - she speaks english and was v. helpful.
