Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

So... I'm in the process of working through the BASI program. I have recently passed my level 2 (fairly comfortably) and I'm looking to gear up for the coming winter which will involve a LOT of training. So I have been advised that I should go for a SL ski, something like the Head i.sl (really tight radius) for some introductory work on gates, and something a bit longer for general instructing/long turn work. So options I have been considering are the head i.speed, rossignol masters or LTs [what's the difference?], Fischer RC4 wc rts. But to be honest, I really don't know whether I'm looking at the right sort of thing.

I'm about 75kgs, 175cm, 25 years old.

Any advice is greatly appreciated... I've pretty much scrambled what is left of my brain googling all of this coming up with no real answers.

You may be better just picking up a second hand SL ski from a club level racer, there are often some real bargains to be had. Not sure about the others though, hopefully someone will come along and advise.
