Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

On-line Map of Alpine Resorts

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Does anyone know if there is a good on-line map of the Alps, showing roads, towns and airports (like a good motoring road atlas) but with all the ski resorts highlighted? Ideally also showing railways and stations - I.e. everything in view at a glance. I'm thinking of trying to fit a long weekend in, but am having trouble working out which resorts are convenient for which airports. Any ideas?

It still doesn't have resorts highlighted 'at a glance' - you have to know what you're looking for first!

I'm now back at home in front of my copy! While it's pretty good (in fact, the best I've found) it still doesn't show railways, road numbers etc., nor all the airports (e.g. no Friedrichshafen (sp?) on the Austria map). I'm pretty surprised that there isn't such a thing available as a "skiers' motoring atlas" - I'll just have to make my own by using WTS&SB to annotate my Europe road atlas!

There is a skiers motoring atlas... http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1900916134/qid=1136401506/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2_2/202-2498996-6509449?tag=amz07b-21

Its OK, though some resort names are spelt incorrectly and one is in the wrong place - I forget which one. Not too bad though, best map I've seen for quick identification and location of ski places in europe.

lewis, that looks perfects - thanks.

nbt, Google earth isn't particularly user friendly from what I remember - takes ages to re-draw, not very good on road numbers etc.
