Not that I'm aware of. I landed a summer season teaching kayaking in Val d'Aosta through Natives a few years back.

Well we're trying to! The site is dedicated to Seasonnaires, jobs, reviews of employers etc. If I'm honest we have a lack of Louis Vuitton adverts and a limited cheap kitchen range on the forum but we're developing! Very happ to take feedback and advice if old Natives folks have ideas to share.

@dheason, Good work, its a start. A bit quiet at the mo on your forum but give it time and you could become the new Natives, someone has to do it. Maybe bombard the Natives forum with links to your forum. I don't think you'll get into trouble for spamming Natives

@sequoiaboard, I've spammed all their active threads not related to kitchens, designer goods and fake passports (grand total of 4 I think!)
We're hoping the forum will grow in time. Fingers crossed I guess!

It's a shame. I used to like reading the posts from people working in ski resorts.
But they seem to have been caught out by the spammers.

Sadly they are aware of what's happening. On their Twitter feed they promised someone they were sorting it out and making the community pages better. Then they posted in February that it was getting some TLC.
Unsure if from the current posts on the site if you'd be getting quick small loans if you had bad credit or if you'd get the loans and then bad credit would follow. I'd ask for clarity but I got banned.

In fairness most of the comments from people working in resorts seem to have moved to regional Facebook groups, there are some massive ones like the Morzine Crew one but most just get renewed year after year. I think in many ways the community has sort of moved on into more localised units.

GUESS WHO'S BACK! We're sorry about the spam, it was like a passport selling, bad-movie streaming, CV dumping hydra. It's cleared, and Natives is keen to be fit for purpose once more: and our jobs section is even getting a makeover in the coming months to make it a bit nicer to use.

Dave of the Marmottes - Natives has always had something of an employment bent, our jobs section has always proven really popular, as have our courses. Our news stories, photos, videos etc, as well as the forum are all there for you guys to use as you wish! Again, no kitchens please...
Richard_Sideways Thanks for letting me know, they're dealt with! The spam is an ongoing concern, so there might be the odd post which sneaks through between removals. Like i said, it's like a CV dumping hydra that keep coming back but I am certainly on it!

It's the broken window effect. Once the place is trashed it is difficult to rebuild. We'll see if Natives or the spammers are more determined. So far quite a bit of spam popping up. The best way to deal with this stuff is to put in tools to weed out registrations and spam posts.

Shame how Natives seems to have fallen. I was a massive fan in the early days and knew Iain well. Seems like everything went wrong when he lost interest and sold it on
