Poster: A snowHead
|
I have a pair of Atomic Nomad Blackeyes. I have had a lot of fun with these skis and I would say that I am an very strong intermediate skier.
I am to an extremely fast skier and therefore I like the flex that I get from the Blackeye.
I was thinking about getting a pair of Blackeye TI's and wonder what peoples views on these skis are.
Cheers,
Mark

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Heard only good things about them.If you want to go really fast go for Crimson Ti.At least that is what I did 10min ago

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

As I said I am a strong skier but not mega fast.
If it's steep I can cope but I don't boost as a rule

I will ski any Scottish piste with no issue I just don't ski super fast. That means that the blackeyes give me the flex I want at the speed I need.
Please don't think I'm scared to engage on the steeps

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I guess what I'm looking for is a responsive ski that can deal with steep and hard terrain when needed and gives me some freedom to enjoy easier slopes as well.

Blackeye is a pretty good ski, I moved to a crimson for a bit more all terraine flexibility. on piste not really very much to distinguish between the two skis.
lots of really great skis out there nowadays, I was thinking of trying a Kastle MX88, if I could get a pair for an obscenely discounted price.

You can get Crimson and Black eye for that same price and like @Bob, wrote You'll have better option for various terrain without losing out on performance on groomers.

I skied Blackeyes this season and they were great. For next season, I'm looking for something a bit stiffer with a bit better edge hold on steep and icy.....that can still cope with gentle off piste and powder. Any suggestions?
