Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Long lasting deodorant for ski touring?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I could absolutely swear that I'd seen a couple of recommendations on here for a very long-lasting deodorant favoured by ski tourers, in combination with the use of merino wool, for keeping the stink down on week long trips. But I can find no trace of it now. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, could they jog my memory, please?

I know its not what you are looking for, but i've always found that applying aftershave to the pits and garmets helps keep it at bay on long days. Can pick up some small travel bottles 5ml for next to nothing and should last a week or so.

Don't you just get a problem with cooing ladies trying to sniff your pits all the time then? That can be a real nuisance on a trip.

Perspirex is excellent. I apply it once a week and dont sweat a bit. Tiny bottle too! Takes a few applications to get to full strength but its cracking stuff. You can get two strengths depending how much of a sweaty betty you are. Be careful though as if you over apply your skin will dry out and burn Toofy Grin

@J2R, i was converted to anti smell crystals abfew months ago. Amazing. Pit rok is a brand in the uk. Can get very small versions. 24 hours no smell although not anti perspirant.

Potassium alum is the stuff. It's also seriously non-allergenic. And seems to last forever. You can tell I'm a convert.

Also a merino tee shirt will stop the Smelly Hanson effect.

Thanks jbob, that's the one I'd seen mentioned. No idea where, though, if it was not on here. It seems there are other options, though.

@J2R, I might have posted on here before, it really does work, I've used it for touring, hut to hut walks, and festivals for a long time. I think Boots do it, but I usually buy half a dozen online every couple of years!
