A giftbasket of kudos should be dispatched to one Mr William Morgan (UK) at once for sticking the worlds first 1800 quadruple cork. For those not familiar with the parliance, thats four full off-axis flips, with 5 full rotations to make sure no part of your lunch stays inside you. Previous best was only landed a couple of months ago by rider Yuki Kadano only a couple of months ago...
Thanks to Redbulls sponsorship, and their deeply annoying unembeddable video you'll have to follow this link to Redbull newsey thing here for a watch of the video...

Makes me sick just thinking about it
Id love to see a head cam shot of it, but then I guess I could just spin 9 times fast on the bed, leap off and hope I land somewhere on my feet. Clearly that won't happen and ill end up vomiting and head butting the wall!
Huge respect to Billy, what amazing skill!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I do believe 'sick' means something different in Snowboard language.
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

That is really awesome. I found myself shouting "Whoa" quite loudly in a quiet place when I watched it the first time. He was very understated about it on his Facebook page. Full credit to him. He was the first to do the triple cork too. Just need him to nail the competitions and especially the Olympics in 2 years time. Then we can have a proper snowsport household name! And a Southampton boy!!

Max Parrot has now landed a Switch Quadruple Underflip 1620... Mad

Saw Maxs run this morning - a monster of a trick... but some debate on the application of the term '1620' though... which is normally reserved for horizontal rotation. *Arguably* more accurate to describe it as a quad underflip 180... lovely landing though.

A 'minor' aside to the original story - Young Mr Morgan dropped into that carrying a fully ruptured ACL - apparently an injury he'd been carrying with him for a while. Billy is going under the knife today to put his knee back together and heal up over the summer. Get well soon Billy.
snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

Yep, Max's trick is rad, but in no way a 1620. Super-smooth, but much less technical than Billy's trick.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@Richard_Sideways, that's what held him back at the Olympics.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

More news from the world of spinny-flippy: Chinese Snowboarder Yiwei Zhang puts down a proper triple cork in the Mammoth Mt. superpipe. Bit of a buttplant at the end but we can forgive that... Seven days appears to be a long time in snowboarding at the moment...
