Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, does anyone have any bar recommendations? Also is there a little supermarket in the village?

Thanks in advance

Yes it has about 4 or five bars/restaurants and a grocery store - nothing major mind! And a post office. It was the original Meribel so it also has a rather grand town hall.

I haven't been there for a while but used to love going to the Tsaretta. Chums of mine have been back recently and they said it was still going strong and was pretty much the same. Enjoy.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Was in la tsaretta a bit in december. Seemed to tick most boxes but was 7 euro for a large beer, which seemed expensive at the time

There is a small supermarket but it seems to open at not very useful times. ..

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The Tsaretta was great in February. Much better value than up the valley and great pizzas. Yes there is a supermarket and ski shop, though we tended to use the supermarket coming out of Meribel.

Vival, the grocers is open 8 until 12 and 1600 to 1900. It is good for fresh bread (grab a pain sportive if you can, lovely snack for a day on the piste) but if you have a big shop to do go to Super U on the way up from Moutiers.

The local British bar is the Tsaretta, run by Steve & Katie. Great for a few beers after dinner. Go to their blues night if your trip coincides. The Croix Jean Claude offers an alternative and has sunny tables at this time of year.

For a dinner out Arbe by the bus stop is great, friendly staff & delicious local food.

Have a good trip!
