Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Hire in the Uk

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We're off on a bit of a tour (20 resorts in 4 weeks) and whilst I've got skis Mrs M hasn't so as opposed to having to go through the faff of hiring in each resort when we arrive we were wondering if there was anywhere in the UK where we can hire and collect skis before we go (poreferably Midlands/South East).

A quick google search and I didn't find anywhere but as you'd expect the big French boys have got the Adwords and SEO rankings.

I imagine you're likely to pay a upwards of £200 for 4 weeks hire. You could easily pick up a decent set of skis on the classifieds here, eBay or gumtree for that price.
Then if you didn't like them you could always hire a pair in resort and sell them when you get home?

Just a thought.

Would concur that for four weeks, you'd be better served to buy skis then sell them on after the trip

Ekosport have some very good deals at the moment so you could easily pick up a decent pair for <£200. Better still, if you have a french address, the Euro movement means the ekosport.fr (as opposed to .co.uk) prices are about 10% lower!
