 Poster: A snowHead

SKI.HUB ... a loss-making communal (as distinct from communist) media enterprise of the late Karl Marx (1818-1883) ... has this morning seen a flash photo of a pair of
two-tone green alpine ski boots ... posted on Facebook by Steven Rooke of Sole, Chamonix.
The photo is captioned to show the Swedish freeride skier Marja Persson clutching a pair of the boots, with prominent Adidas logos. It's been suggested that they may be K2s ... re-logoed. Anyone know anything about this?

There's a K2 logo on the powerstrap of the right hand boot so it's quite possible

A bit of ski industry background that may, or may not, shed some light on this ...
Adidas, the extraordinary German company that was founded after WW2 by Adi Dassler, bought Salomon from Georges Salomon in 1997. Adidas sold Salomon 8 years later to the Finnish group Amer (who also own Atomic).
Adidas make and brand x-country ski boots and snowboard boots.
But why would their logo appear on a pair of K2s? Is this an official public development, a cunning leak, or a prank?

I don't know about snowboard boots, but Adidas is out of xc skiing market (as far as shoes are concerned) for quite some years now. I would say Torino Olympics were more or less last one. They made shoes for few racers for few more years after that, but you were not able to get them except through their racing service. So if you get "new" Adidas xc ski shoes, they are in reality really old stock :)

I used to have a snowHeads sticker on my boots.
I'm pretty sure the hairy one didn't make them though.
