Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Marker F10/F12 brakes for 92mm waist ski

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

I'm planning on buying a pair of 92 mm waist skis for touring. I really likef the Marker F10/F12 (not sure wich one i'll go for yet) bindings, the problem is they only come in 90 and 110 mm brake size.

I am wondering, would it be possible to get the 90mm brakes and bend them to fit? I've never done it before, and I don't want to go wrong. If not, do you know where to find spare 100mm brakes for marker tour bindings? All I could find was 100mm brakes for the free ten binding, and I'm not sure they'll be compatible...

Many thanks for your help!

90mm brakes can be usually bent a bit to fit a slightly wider skis. A shop would do it for you.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@vieuxchaillol, The 90mm will fit, especially on the Tour binding as the frame lifts the brakes a bit higher off the ski compared to the same brake when fitted on a Jester/Griffon/Squire etc. The Marker brakes do 'cam in' nicely alongside the heel so the 110mm would be fine as well. Marker don't do a 100mm wide brake for that range of bindings.

I've got F10/12's with both brake widths in stock at the right price wink
