Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Sainte Foy 2015 restaurant recommendations?

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi all,

Further to my query about parking in Tignes - for which many thanks for all the advice you posted - I was wondering whether anyone has any restaurant recommendations for eating out in the evening in or near Sainte Foy? Trip Advisor notes a few restaurants, but it would be great hear if any Snowheads have a favourite haunt or 2? Puzzled

La Maison a Colonnes is the best in resort. La Coeur also good, but small. L'apres is fine for pizza, etc.

Out of resort, la Grange in Sainte Foy town is superb, as is Chez Merie in La masure. Food at le Monal hotel is good too.

Thanks stevomcd. We're visiting w/c Sun 8 March - as this is post half term, is it worth booking ahead, or do you think we'll be able to wing it day by day? I guess it will busy up at the weekends as elsewhere?

Not a lot of difference weekends vs mid-week. It's not necessarily a resort which gets a lot of weekend clients, mostly week-long packages so weekends can actually be quite quiet as people are coming / going.

I wouldn't worry too much about booking ahead unless you're eating out on a Wednesday (chalet night off) or you want to go to Chez Merie.

That's good to know - many thanks stevomcd. Really looking forward to our trip and to exploring a new area. Looks like the snow's good this week, fingers crossed it stays that way.

In the resort I noticed a new resto in the upper part in one of the challets. If memory serves me right it was called the Lodge but we could not get a table in the evening last week. Anyone tried it?

Pizza at lunchtime, residents only in the evening, as I understand it.

We had a great meal in the small restaurant on the decked area, La couer I think. But a group of sixteen of us virtually filled the place Very Happy
