Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Is Zinal in Scotland? wink That's what their pics usually look like, isn't it?

ise, Zinal has not been open for long, only since the 17th. Grimentz has been better, with more snowcover, the webcam has been showing the slopes very busy with 9/11 lifts open, but a bit nippy as you say Very Happy
Edit
The lift company claims 30cm cover for Zinal. I would like to read what you think it is Smile

snowbunny, Looks like the 30cms are in the big snowball to the foreground of the pic!

I see what you mean Very Happy . I'm very interested in what ise, has to say having skied it recently. I will be there next month, so a few weeks to improve though Very Happy

30cms would be about right, the wind's done a lot a damage in places which you can probably pick out on the photo's. I was in Grimentz yesterday and it's about the same, their cannons will give them some slightly better skiing though, you can see from the webcams in fact. St Luc looks better on the cam's but I've not been up so far. The lift company are well aware of the dire conditions and only charging 30 chf a day.

Zinal looks scoured. It looks less meadow like, than Grimentz as well. The piste in your photo also looks quite steep and I'm guessing it takes a fair bit to get the snow to stick and make the base.
