I just got a YIM saying that it has started snowing in Edinburgh - my dad is 72 now and gets nervy driving in snow - we have had 10 cm here Vaud 825m.

Super Eagle, your quite near me. I live in a village called Sturton le Steeple, it's about 6 or 7 miles from Retford. Just horrible granulated stuff here! Now I've just walked home from my friends and it was like a bl00dy ice rink!

3 or 4 inches of the stuff round here, more than has fallen in the last few years put together and it's lasted the day out so far.
Went to work and did a couple of jobs this morning but sent the staff home, we don't do much when the weather's like this so there was no point them hanging around watching the conditions get worse.
