Poster: A snowHead

Can anyone recognise and can name the piste showing on the linked webcam. I quite like the look of it and want to try it when we go to the GM. This is the link -http://m.webcam-hd.com/grand-massif
and depending on how the link works it is the top left cam on the Samoens 2120m cams. Hope that makes sense!

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

do you mean this one;
In which case it's the run off from the Tete Des Saix.
The Tete des saix is from bottom right of the photo, the white building is the top of the molliets chair, the wooden building is the Poste secours.
to get to Les Carroz ski area turn left behind the trees to get the Morillon turn right at the wooden building and go behidn the pylon.
To get to Les carroz village quickly turn right at wooden building behidn the pylon and then left when you see the restaurant on the right hand side and follow you nose all the way down.

perce niege!
tbh it's not worth a special trip, you'll do it as a link to Les carroz/Morillon from Samoens or Flaine.... top section is often quite bumpy especially later in teh day but if you don't straight-line it from near the 3 pylons on the rhs you'll end up walking if on a board and skating if skiing, but in all conditions it is possible to ski/board all the way without too much trouble!
The bit you're seeing is actually slightly uphill to the buildings in the distance and you're coming from the bottom right travelling to the left.

Second the vote for perce neige. Though it looks like a downhill slope from left to right in the pic, actually what you are looking at are a bunch of people skiing from the right to left trying to keep up momentum on a flattish bit to get up to the lift and the pisteurs/security hut in the middle of the photo.
It's more of an annoying link you have to do than a pleasure. I would say that about 90% of the other runs in the GM are more fun!

Definitely Perce Neige and not worth a special trip .
Yesterday afternoon the top section was slushy and bumpy, and every bump seemed to have a stranded beginner who'd lost their nerve to keep moving. Then the loonies put on the accelerators and scared the beginners on the bit where you have to go fast to get up the hill.
The most useful thing is that the wooden building contains some very piste-convenient loos!
Totally agree with Perty that 90% of other runs are more fun.

Thanks guys-looks are deceiving. Certainly appeared to me to be a nice little run on a sort of wide ridge away from the buildings down to the right as the pic appears. On the basis it goes the other way it must be really flat!!
The more I use this board ahead of our trip the more I realise what a great way to gain info from people in the know. Though I do find I am spending more and more time on here the closer it gets-even grabbing a quick read at work!!
