Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

transport Morzine to Chamonix

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Evening,
Over Easter I am in Morzine for a 2 week family holiday -My dear wife has given me a pass to stay when everyone else goes home and do a week long hut to hut tour starting in Chamonix.
We may drive or fly - if we decide to fly I will need to get from Morzine to Chamonix on the Sunday to start the tour on the Monday morning.
Any ideas on travelling between the two, buses/taxi/transfer company etc ?

All info gratefully received
cheers,Bob

If transfers then possibly the cheapest and easiest is shared transfer morzine to geneva airport and then gva to chamonix.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

This is what I did. Easiest way, relatively inexpensive, convenient (door to door)

Alpybus or similar can do this for you.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If timings work, cheapest GVA-CHX and return probably easybus.co.uk

Or, public bus to Cluses, change there. SAT are the operator I think.

I'm not sure they run Saturdays Puzzled

C'mon Bob, do the right thing and help your wife get the family to GVA on the Saturday Twisted Evil, Then xfer back up to Cham and have the Sunday skiing in Cham. Unless the Saturday is a powder-day obviously, in which case stick to plan A wink.

What you could try doing is seeing if Alpy Bus have any of their Chamonix drivers heading back to Cham after Morzine drop offs. The office probably won't be very helpful, but mates often drop in morzine, then head back to chamonix.

and please don't use easy bus

Cheapest way is easyBus from Morzine to Geneva then easyBus from Geneva to Chamonix. Very Happy more money left for beers!

If you're going touring anyway, why faff around with transport, it's about 40km and half of that will be downhill, more if you start at Avoriaz...
