Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@DannySimpson, Not arriving there until 28th March but would welcome any info on updated/current conditions while you're there or when you return. Where are you staying?

@broadsman, sure, will try and remember when I get back... we're staying in the UCPA hostel, by all accounts should be a fun experience!

@DannySimpson, Had never heard of UCPA so googled it-you could be right about the fun experience! This might interest you if you have not fully researched your accommodation of choice!

@broadsman, there are a lot of first hand reports on snowheads from people who have stayed in UCPA centres - all positive, I think. My daughter and her then BF (now husband) stayed in the Flaine Centre some years ago - terrific value for half term (both teachers) though the snow the week they were there was very poor. There's a great deal of rubbish written about Flaine's micro-climate. It sometimes has good snow, sometimes not - like everywhere else.

On a related note... last time I was in the mountains I struggled to sleep "in" (guess it was the altitude or something) past 5. Was in Avoriaz and found a boulangerie open early that served coffee so I could wait until everyone else woke up...

Anyone know if there's anything like that in F?

Not been up that early but have been to the boulangerie in the Foret shopping centre at 7 - it's serving breakfast by then so probably opens earlier

Morning @borntoboard, are you there that week?

I will be on planks (plural), and I'll be taking the lessons provided, but even with my bravado / stupidity * I doubt I'll stray very far from the pistes...

Messing around on the edges is usually enough for me Very Happy
