Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cheap ways to get to Aviemore from the North East.

I finish just after lunch on Friday, which makes it perfect for heading up to Scotland for a couple of days, but the Train from Newcastle is a little on the steep side. Does anyone know if national express run that far up or if there are any other options to get up there?

Ideally I could travel up Fri, stay in the bunkhouse, ski Sat / Sun and head back Sunday night.

Any ideas welcome

Advertise on here under the trips/solo skiers thread. Someone might be up for a car share.

I don't drive unfortunately. Still looks to be around £100 even mixing it up. I suppose It's going to be about a £220-£250 weekend whichever way I look at it with food drinks included

edit

@cameronphillips2000, That's a good idea. I might start a general car share thread unless there is one already

How about this:

Try the Winterhighland website. Check out their forum pages, there's a 'Lift to the hills' section. You could post a request on there.

Cheers guys, just discovered something called Bla Bla Car. Could be a useful option? Looks like i'd have to do Newcastle - Edinburgh and Edinburgh - Avieemore, but could work.
