Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Arcs 1950 - self catering query

Poster: A snowHead
Hello, heading to P & V 1950 and was wondering if there is anywhere in 1950 that you can rent a raclette grill? We were able to do this in Avoriaz and the deli made a pack of cheese & cold meats which was fantastic so would love to do it again - with kids this was a great tea one night for the adults. Also any suggestions for lunch would be appreciated.

@steel1203, yes there is. The Gourmet Montagnard, in the Jardins de la Cascade building. They do the food packs too.

Lunch when we have back at the apartment (which is quite often), tends to be soups and pate from the supermarket, with bagettes from Arc Dore (which has just changed hands, so may have changed name. but the new proprietors get the thumbs up for their baking from regulars). Not enough room to mention all the mountain side stops available, but if you want to eat in the village, quite a few of the restaurants are open at lunchtime too.
