Poster: A snowHead

The question is; is it ok to use wax remover on the top sheet of the ski ? It`s powerful stuff, Datawax citrus based ( my back bottom, it`s rocket fuel), and I normally just use it for cleaning the scraper. Thanks

CS,
Without knowing what your top sheet is made of, I can't say for sure, but it should be fine. I use the same stuff and I've never had a problem.

@cstreat, Taking shop rental stickers off a load of skis a while ago, to put the new ones on with a new logo, we ended up using autoglym tar remover and then turtle wax car polish as the sticker residue would not come off. If in doubt test on a tiny area 1st.

@cstreat, I use Snoli the one that spyderjon sells and that says it is citrus based too but yes, rocket fuel would seem a more appropriate description. I have never had a problem with that and actually have found it really good for cleaning all sorts of things, including some plastics and painted surfaces, because although it seems to loosen dirt and grease it does not seem to attack everything like a "normal" solvent.

I've used it on the top sheet of my snowboard with no problems. Don't know if that's the same finish material as your skis.......
