Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

OTG Goggles

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

I'm looking to get a pair of OTG Ski Goggles for myself this year. Previously I had just used my sunglasses but this year I think I will get some goggles aswel. I saw a pair of Sundown OTG goggles nearby for about 40 quid but I couldn't really find out any reviews about them online. I can travel a bit further to get a pair of Bolle Y6 Goggles which seem a bit more of a known quantity but I would rather not have to travel that far.

Just wondering if anyone had any info about the Sundown goggles or its better to go with a known brand etc etc.

Thanks

I wouldn't bother about brands, frankly, but there are OTG goggles that only go O the tiniest Gs. I'd say it's pretty important to try them on WITH your glasses (and with your helmet too, if you wear one).

If you are going skiing in a resort with a decent number of shops it might be better to wait till you're there.

Oh - welcome to SHs, too. snowHead

i use a pair of Bolle, and they are fantastic, cost me £65 but they do darken down in strong sunlight and are great in low light too.

@cont, I have Scott OTG's and Mrs Radar has Bolle, we are both very pleased, do try them on with your glasses as they frame may not fit, i bought mine from vision3k they sent me three pairs to try ( I did have to pay but the refund was swift), both are light sensitive.
