hi
I'm looking for a shop selling discouinted skis or 2012 / 2013 / 2014 stock
Quite simply I'm after a bargain... skiing only a couple of times a year I can't justify spending £500 on a pair of skis
I seem to remember a place near Xscape in Castleford, who sold discounted Blizzard skis, but can't seem to find them now.
Just got back from a week's skiing and my 8 year old Fischer skis just looked so dated and I felt embarassed carrying them around, so need something a bit newer as I have another trip coming up.
thnks

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Think that would have been SevenSport. They closed a couple of years ago.

If you want recent ski's but don't mind second hand try here.

I got my scott neos off them, nice ski's and not expensive. Think their skis are ex hire, so marked top sheets, but sound bases etc.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to hire bearing in mind cost of transport, servicing, capital loss -and you will have the latest every year.

@JonnyRocket, If there's a Decathlon near you get yourself in there.
Spotted Head and Rossignol skis in there today at around £115. And they were clearing out ski boots at £19.99. Def worth a look.

Just done a search and BACs is just around the corner from the original SevenSport shop before they moved to bigger premises across Leeds and nearer Xscape.

Eh, Severn Sports were in Armley, BAC are in Elland.
I usually just troll the shops on the internet for bargains

Yeah, bac definitely in Elland near Halifax. I don't really associate the word cheap with them though but they are handy. Cannot expect them to compete with Internet prices though to be fair.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@JonnyRocket, It was probably Skiwear4Less who had an outlet at Cas, they've been swallowed up by Mike Ashley though. Details here

@JonnyRocket, if the only thing wrong with your Fischers is the look, why not just renovate? Spray, stencil and sticker them back into fashion. May hold off the inevitable until Season-end sales.

Outdoor Action in Blackburn, there is always a deal to be done. Have never found anywhere that can beat them on price. Not a massive selection but a bit of everything to suit everyone
