Hi,
Has anyone done the all day beginner lesson there and anyone know if they are supposed to be as good as the ones at Hemel?
Thanks

Hi,
Me and the missus did the learn in a day snowboarding this time last year. We found it very good but was tiring on the legs. It depends how quickly you pick things up and how determined you are to progress as to what you get out of it.
Certainly worth a go and its a good day out.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Another victim of the one-day snowboarding class at MK, and was declared not very dangerous and allowed to use the big slope after a further 2x3 hour lessons due to cowardice getting in the way of learning. Inclined to suggest Hemel instead if only because the parking and lockers are free, and MK isn't, plus the changing rooms in MK are pretty grim.
Couldn't get out of bed any other way than stop, drop and roll for a few days after due to excessive usage of a core that didn't exist, but it will get you to a decent point so you don't have to waste time suffering in a resort which is good. If the victim isn't especially fit I'd suggest doing 2x 3 hours lessons instead to give the body some time to recover.

I was meant to say I personally would got with Hemel. It seems to be more of a professional set up.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I live in milton keynes and I ski in Hemel when I use indoor facilities. Read into that what you will.
Not in the first timer lessons market though so can't comment on them at either centre. Hemel has a much nicer cafe though.

It is for my wife. She is going skiing for 1st time in two weeks and someone mentioned this might be worthwhile. Issue is Hemel has no availability before we go but since it costs so much wanted to make sure it was still worthwhile at Milton Keynes

It definitely will be worthwhile, do Hemel have spaces for the shorter 3 hour lessons instead? Anything to get her off the starting blocks will make the learning process easier once she's there.

I'd take that myself if you have the time and the travel is not too hard - learning is really tiring so the 'all In a day' courses can take their toll. Perhaps spreading over two days might be easier. You might not cover quite as much ground, but it'll give a good starter, without risk of putting people off

I did 2 x 3hr beginner sessions at MK, before Hemel existed as a fridge. The lessons were pretty good. We live between both and most of the time use Hemel, although last time we went to either MK was marginally better.

Think she is gonna end up doing the full day. Are there any discount codes that anyone knows of for milton keynes?
Thanks
