Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can you remove a scuff off goggles?

So I'm practising wearing my goggles tonight, as recommended by you lovely folk due to the glasses situation.

But I see, the beautiful scuff, right in my vision line. Is there anyway to make this a little less? It's a scuff / scratch line on the inside of the goggle.

I searched the forum but couldn't find anything and Google began to talk about toothpaste. Which may work, but thought I'd ask the experts!

Thanks.

No unfortunately, you're more likely to remove the anti-fog coating which will cause the goggles to steam up more frequently.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks @tomb. Never mind - I'll manage, it just looks like I need to clean them haha. My glasses are often very clean so I'll get used to it Happy

Not heard the toothpaste trick... Although where I've tried buffing out scratches on plastics such as polycarbonate, perspex, etc in the past I've found it more likely that youll do more damage than good. It would be a shame to completely ruin a pair of goggles for a small scratch that you may not even notice that much when you begin skiing snowHead

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Unless it's a massive scuff you probably won't notice it out on the snow.

Sat at home your probably looking AT your goggles rather than THROUGH them. Out on the piste your focus is on the snow ahead and you're unlikely to see/be aware of the scuff at that point.

Brasso works on watch glasses. haven't tried it on (obviously much softer) goggle lenses. Scuff is on outide I imagine so cant see that antifog coating is relevant

jedster, I've underlined where the Op refers to the scratch being on the inside.... So yes my post was relevant.
