Poster: A snowHead

My girlfriend and I are heading to Avoriaz this weekend with a group of friends and she's looking for some private tuition.. she's skied once before and got on okay but would like an understanding instructor to help her develop what she's already learned and gain a little more confidence on the slopes... any tips on which company to approach?
Thanks...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Both my partner and I had lessons with Avoriaz Alpine Ski School, a mixture of private and group and they were excellent.
My partner is a very cautious beginner and we had some tears at the local snow dome prior to our trip, so I was a little worried about how she would get on in resort. She had group lessons with Mark and came back with a beaming smile after the first morning and was completely put at ease from the get go. Her development through the week was very impressive.
I also had some private lessons with Aaron which were exceptionally fun, varied and rewarding.
We were both hesitant about the cost (they aren't the cheapest) but wouldn't flinch at spending the money again, well worth it!
We are looking at going back to Avoriaz in March and will be booking more lessons with them...cant wait!

Avoriaz Alpine Ski School all the way.
Keith transformed my nervous wife of one week skiing experience into a confident red piste carver in the space of two weeks.
We are heading to Avoriaz this Saturday and looking forward to another week of morning private lessons with Keith and Ian.

Have been ski-ing in the Morzine/Avoriaz/Pleney area the last three years and every year have used Herve Gaillard at Reachyourpeak.
Just tried accessing his website for the hpyerlink but no luck.
Anyway, he is an excellent instructor and my family (of five) have progressed massively under his tuition.
When you work out his average fee per person, per hour, compared to Hemel, it defintely makes sense.
Have stayed at Chalet Spycat the last three years, who also recommend Herve as a top instructor.

Another vote for Avoriaz Alpine Ski School, I had group ski lessons and my partner had private snowboard lessons last year both with Laurent - fantastic. We have booked again for when we are out there in 2 weeks.

Jean Marie rebuilt my other half's confidence following her being dragged way out of her depth by another instructor. Pierre is awesome too. I like Laurent but my other half really didn't. That was all down to personality though. Some people you just clash with.
