Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

WANNA COME TO TIGNES FOR CHRISTMAS 2006?

Fancy Christmas 2006 in Tignes?

A group of eight of us have booked for the Ski Olympic run 'Chalet Hotel La Rosette' in Tignes for Christmas 2006. We'll have some spare spaces available for any snowHeads that fancy a cracking early season break away from the relatives. A further 4-6 people have made provisional reservations & will be confirming that they are joining us in the next week or two when they can book their work holidays.

The flights schedule has yet to be released but we will be flying out on either Fri 22nd or Sat 23rd December 2006 & returning on the same day the following week, ie either the 29th or 30th.

The chalet has twenty-two rooms & is situated close to the slopes & lifts etc. The service offering is the standard chalet deal, ie half board, afternoon tea & cakes, eat out one night etc. You can check out the details etc on the
Ski Olympic website. A few of our party have stayed at the Rosette previously & can highly recommend it - in fact it's usually fully booked for Christmas by the end of February. By all accounts Tignes is as snow sure as you can get, with the glacier as back-up of course.

The price is yet to be confirmed but the brochure price is likely to be £700 for adults with a discount of approx £150 for kids. We then get a further £50 off per head for bookings received before August. The prices are based on flying from Stansted but other airports are available but surchages might apply. Transfers are included of course.

In addition Ski Olympic will give us a free spaces as the party size increase, ie the 9th, 17th & 25th person etc go free! The worst calculation will make the adult price about £645 & the best possible combination will be about £570 - so say £600 per adult for budgeting purposes, which is pretty damned good for this standard of chalet at crimbo.

The value of the free spaces will be split between the whole party. Kids bookings don't count towards the free spaces but in the past it has been cheaper to upgrade all/some of the kids spaces to adults to get the additional free spaces. If this happens obviously anyone with kids will still receive the kids discount.

As regular 'group booking' customers, Ski Olympic have very kindly let us reserve the whole chalet up until the end of January 2006 after which time it will be available for bookings by the general public. SnowHeads can still book to join our party after the end of January however availability cannot be guaranteed. Bookings taken for our party after the end of January still count towards the free spaces. Provisional reservations can be made now but must be confirmed by the end of January. Deposits don't need to be paid until end January/early February.

Bookings can only be made through Stuart or Vanessa at Destination Travel on 0115 9617007 quoting the 'Alan Bennet' party.

We hope that you'll join us snowHead

Edit 20.12.05: Flights available from Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham & Doncaster.
