Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ortovox 3+ for silly money

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
£139 for a 3+ is silly money cheap!
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ortovox-Plus-Transceivers-Blue-Ocean/dp/B00FBEOM22/ref=sr_1_1?s=sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1420466518&sr=1-1&keywords=ortovox+3%2B&tag=amz07b-21

I can't see the deal lasting long as the price is below trade price so distributors and retailers will be grumpy before long.

Thanks all for the tips, just bought the DSP Sport. There were 13 in stock when I looked first thing this morning, now just 2

I've been thinking about getting something like this for ages. A small price to pay for something that might just save my and other's lives. I'd better get myself on a course on how to use it....I noticed on Saturday that there is an avi park in Verbier so might pop along there.

Amazon (as the seller) now out of stock of the £118 DSP Sports, so now a reseller has them at £191.

I did see a documentary about Amazon on CNBC the other day, in which while their marketplace resellers appreciate the extra visibility that Amazon gives them, they often hated their tactic of Amazon having full data of what is selling well and putting these products on sale themselves and undercutting their resellers.

AT £118 I can only assume that Pieps were dumping inventory against some kind of new model launch

Well after yesterday's avalanche of avalanche kit deals, it looks like most of the deals are done: there's still this Ortovox Haute Route 35 Backpack at under half price.

If anyone spots any more good deals for the 3+ please post. I have had one of the old blue ones since the 90s. Still works fine. But get laughed at whenever I show it anyone. The bleeper that is. The last few times I have done the search test others with the modern ones will always find the buried bleeper first.
Especially if it is a deal with a shovel. I have the old plastic clip in one that would probably now shatter if I ever had to use it.
All the Avalanche incidents in the last few days has put it at the front of my mind.

I just picked up the 3+ kit here for 253 GDP or 339 EUR - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/400823041093?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

I also picked up a ABS backpack and this is the cheapest one I could find for 473 GDP - https://www.freezeproshop.com/ortovox-free-rider-26-abs-avalanche-air-bag-backpack-incl-m-a-s-s/colour:45222

Pretty happy with my purchases. These aren't guaranteed protection but help if I get in trouble.
