Poster: A snowHead

I have just purchased a pair of Atomic Overload 70's, and they let more water in than the Hoover Dam. I have heard rumors about atomic boots being prone to leak, but I guess they still shouldn't leak to the point I need 4 pairs of socks for an 8 hour ski day. What could I do to help stop this leaking? Also, I have sensitive feet, so what would be the best sock material so that my feet don't get itchy when they get wet or sweaty? (Itchy feet is essentially the whole reason the leak bothers me.)

Take them back to the dealer, exchange them for something else. No loss.................... He'll get comp'd.

@FrostyTehSnowmen, no boot is waterproof, but it does sound like there is something strange going on if you are getting feet that wet.....get back to your retailer and have them take a look, making sure it is not something simple like a water seal missing or misaligned or the way you are doing them up. sometimes it is just a bad boot of the line..... Atomic (like all brands) have had boots in the past which leaked more than others but i have not heard any issues for a while
@equinoxranch, FYI dealers don't just get "compd", we have to prove each case is a genuine fault to get a credit or replacement

The normal place water gets in is the seal at the front of the boots (in front of the toe clips). Check that seals are sitting right. A short-term solution is to put a piece of gaffer tape over. But if the seals are leaking and you can't fix the problem, go back to where you bought them from.
