Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Wax on a Sintered Base

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hoping for a bit of advice.

I have treated myself to the Lib Tech Travis Pro which has a sintered base.

Having waxed and rode it a few times down at the chillfactore to start trying it out before going away a friend has commented that it looked dry as they could see white streaks. So I have recently battered it with wax... twice to make sure of it.... and then taken a few photos for some feedback.

To me it the white looks like wax sitting in the grains and just wanted some additional opinions. I use Butta wax and the whole board as a strong butta wax smell all over it as well. The grainy white look is consistent all over the board. Which makes me think it is fine as after caking the whole thing in wax it surely can't be dry ??

Anyway let me know your thoughts.

All Mervin boards with a sintered base look like this even when new, its fine.

When they dry up they go alot whiter than this and its normally most noticeable near the edges

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
