Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

So, I am looking at buying some new skis and bindings and found some online that I want.
My last pair I had set up in resort where I bought them, but would like to set these up myself as I plan to use them on my local hills.
Is there any advice you have for setting them up to fir my boots?
Thanks
J

Do your local hills not have any hire shops? Generally if you walk in (preferably when they aren't rushed off their feet) most will be happy to adjust them for a small fee, or in my case as I've always been in a group where everyone else is hiring for free.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Mjit
, Unfortunately, my local hills don't have lifts, literally just my local hills on the North York Moors, I just fancy taking them out for a play before I head out to the Alps later in the season

They can be set to your boot length by the shop before they ship them to you.
Then you can set the din and check/set the forward pressure when they arrive.
Google the make/model of the bindings and you'll probably find some information about how to adjust the forward pressure. Or post a picture of the bindings on here and someone will be able to tell you how to make and check the adjustment.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
