Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Getting ski pass and skis with package

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi

We have booked with a tour operator for the first time this year (Crystal) and have done our ski hire and passes as part of the package. We're wondering when and how we get our ski passes and get fitted with our skis. We arrive on a Sunday afternoon, Serre Che and have a lesson booked for 11 am on the Monday. I'm worried we will be late for the lesson if we are queueing with all the other new arrivals on the Monday morning at the ski hire shop and/or ski pass office. Any one got any tips or can tell me how it generally works x thanks all x

It is different depending on the resort but when I was last in France the lift passes were given out during the transfer.

The equipment we always go and pick up on the afternoon when we arrive. You're not allowed to use it until the day booked from (i.e. the following day) but we have always been able to collect/be fitted with this on the arrival day.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You'll probably get your pass on the coach or in the evening at your accomodation.

Almost certainly get ski voucher on the coach allowing plenty of time to get sorted - the shops will be open until 7 or 8pm.

Above all, don't worry - thousands of people go through this every week!
