Poster: A snowHead

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a decent resort close to Zurich? My brother has just moved there and was wondering if I could slip in a sneaky long weekend in March to see him and abuse his hospitality

Will you be staying overnight in Zürich or in resort?
Car or train?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Train to Davos/Klosters is about 2 hours. You often see people travelling on it already in their ski gear.

Engelberg, just over an hour.
Great night out too if you know where to go.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Haven't really thought about accomodation. If it's close enough to drive then we'd stay back in Zurich I suppose

Andermatt, Engelberg, Flumserberg within easy driving distance. Small areas but plenty for a couple of days and all have very good off-piste.
Also they easily accessible by train.
For Flumserberg 1hr to Unterterzen then gondola right next to the station.

I live in Zurich. Nearest resorts Flumserberg or Hoch-Ybirg both 45 mins by car.
I prefer however to travel to Klosters which is around 1 hour 45 mins as the runs are much longer and more variety.
I normally travel by train using a combined lift pass and train ticket purchased from the main station (snow and rail ticket). Klosters Platz station is right next to the ski lift so its simple, however, as non local it will probably be around chf 200. I fortunately have a half price ticket.
