Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a decent resort close to Zurich? My brother has just moved there and was wondering if I could slip in a sneaky long weekend in March to see him and abuse his hospitality Very Happy

Will you be staying overnight in Zürich or in resort?
Car or train?

Train to Davos/Klosters is about 2 hours. You often see people travelling on it already in their ski gear.

Haven't really thought about accomodation. If it's close enough to drive then we'd stay back in Zurich I suppose

Andermatt, Engelberg, Flumserberg within easy driving distance. Small areas but plenty for a couple of days and all have very good off-piste.
Also they easily accessible by train.
For Flumserberg 1hr to Unterterzen then gondola right next to the station.

I live in Zurich. Nearest resorts Flumserberg or Hoch-Ybirg both 45 mins by car.
I prefer however to travel to Klosters which is around 1 hour 45 mins as the runs are much longer and more variety.
I normally travel by train using a combined lift pass and train ticket purchased from the main station (snow and rail ticket). Klosters Platz station is right next to the ski lift so its simple, however, as non local it will probably be around chf 200. I fortunately have a half price ticket.
