 Poster: A snowHead

I've just booked myself onto the BB (my first one) and I like to cover a lot of terrain so I'm interested in the Sella Ronda circuit, but I've heard that there are a lot of flat sections.
Obviously us snowboarders don't like flats much, but I can normally handle them fairly well; I have the confidence to go flat-out in the lead up to them. I also have K2 cinch (step in) bindings so it's not a major PITA to unbind/rebind.
Does anyone have any experience doing the circuit on a snowboard. Is it worth doing? Will I end up walking a lot of it, or will I be okay if I just go for it on the flatter sections?

@Grezzo, Apparently one way is better than other. Not sure which one though  Clockwise I think, and anti-clockwise is more lifts. Others will advise correctly.
Both ways are probably worth doing anyway.

Bit of flat either way if do the ronda
Clockwise has a bit at Colfosco and Piz Sella
Anti-Clockwise has a bit coming into Selva, Piz Sella and back into Arraba
Don't think either is disastrous though and borders I have been with didn't moan too much
I can't remember many flats off of the ronda so there is plenty to play with.

I hadn't really noticed that doing it in different directions would give you different pistes, but that makes complete sense.
If other boarders did it without too much trouble, I should be fine

Are you saying that they've changed some of the pistes to be less flat?

The biggest change was on the run back into Arabba, there is now a lift to give you a bit of height.

@Grezzo, I did it on my second week of snowboarding in both directions and without much hassle. Nothing much to moan about these days except maybe one narrow bit in the anticlockwise direction where getting stuck behind a couple of snowploughers can ruin it.
You don't actually cover that much terrain though. A lap can easily be done in half a day, even with calimero stops. But never fear, there's lots more fun to be had in the area, especially away from the pistes.
