Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Need ladies ski pants with full length side zip

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi,

I am desperately trying to find a some ski pants with a zip on the outside of the leg, going past the knee and ideally all the way up the leg but am really struggling. I became an amputee a few months ago and am keen to get back on skis next month, but I need to be able to get to my leg to adjust things during the day without needing to strip at the side of the piste. Can anyone recommend any?

Thank you!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Mountaineering goretex trousers usually have a full length zip. Marmot, Haglof, Mountain Equipment, etc. I assume they do women's as well as men's.

ckc157, Just look for any ski pants designed for racers, they will have full length zips. Try Ski Bartlett, Ventura, Glide+Slide, Incline Sports.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've been looking as well to replace my old Patagonia full zip but too short & 30 yr old Farwest goretex shells (Canadian brand). I'm considering Marmot spire & Patagonia Triolet. Did you find/buy anything? I wear a large brace that needs adjustment.

@ckc157, Have a look at these From Arcteryx.
I have the equivalent men's pair and they are simply awesome. Although I originally bought them for their flexibility and protection for backcountry trips (with one of the primary features being ability to put on/take off without the need to remove skis/boots) I now wear them most of the time with simple base layer underneath.
As far as the brand is concerned, you will not find better tech spec.
Good luck!
