Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Blizzard IQ bindings screw needed

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I have a pair of Blizzard skis with the IQ system binding and have lost the central screw that attaches the plate to the ski. I have contacted Blizzard through their FB page as there doesn't seem to be an easy way to find the UK rep and have contacted the place I bought the skis from but neither can get me another screw. Does anyone on here happen to have an old set of these skis that they don't need the central screw for or another contact in Blizzard?

Cheers

Lynsey

Sure screwfix won't have something similar enough (or identical)?

@under a new name, it has a weird flat bit under the head before the thread, so 1/3 thread, 1/3 smooth, 1/3 head

IME it is bl**dy hard sourcing binding screws. You are basically reliant on various ski shops keeping old screws which they are willing to recycle. This year for instance one of the majors sent me skis/bindings with two screws missing, but couldn't supply any replacements screws! They sent a set which they claimed were okay, but they were way too big. Fortunately though our local ski shop stepped in and found two screws which fitted. Next time the importer will get the skis back by return of post.
